Q Prior to starting this assignment be sure you have: 1) Read Chapter 2; 2) Watched Video - Introduction to the Optimal Ethics Audit project; 3) Watched Ms. Shea (Business librarian) Video - Business ethics database resources; and 4) Read the full Ethics Audit project instructions: Optimal Ethics Benchmarking Project Instructions_Fall_2020.docx By the end of this week, draft a memo to Dr. Orudzheva identifying three companies in rank preference order to use for your ethics audit project. Students MUST choose from the companies on this list: List of companies Fall 2020.pdf Include the following information about each of the three firms in your memo: 1. The name of the company. 2. Two credible business press articles about each company on related topics included in Collins "Optimal Ethical Benchmarking Tool" (included in the project instructions). For the two articles, be sure to cite your sources in proper APA Format. THIS PART OF THE MEMO IS VERY IMPORTANT AS YOU SHOW YOUR COMPETENCE IN DOING RESEARCH USING THE LIBRARY DATABASES IDENTIFIED IN MS. SHEA'S VIDEO. . Do NOT "Google" for articles as many of those sources are not CREDIBLE (meaning they have NOT been well researched or fact-checked). The relevant library resources are also summarized in the attached list: Business Ethics Database List (2).docx Students will work in groups of 2-3 on this project. This is critical, given the workload, to be able to split up the research sections. If you know who you want to work with already, contact them and gain their concurrence, decide on which companies you want to prioritize as #1, 2 or 3 and identify the same companies in your memo. Do NOT use the same articles, each of you must demonstrate your competence with the library databases. If you do not know who you want to work with, that is fine, Dr. Orudzheva will assign groups based on interest in companies. This memo is worth 21 points, 7 points per company. To earn the 7 points you must document 2 credible sources in APA format (see Course Resources). Your memo is due Sunday night. Dr. Orudzheva will post a list by the following Tuesday noon of the groups and company assignments.
